Document Scanner
Our Event Scoring solution does not require a special scanner. Just about all document scanners can fulfill our requirement to:
· scan black and white
· scan at 200 DPI
· create an individual TIF images of every page scanned
Generally, customers use a document scanner that is directly attached to the PC/laptop. Such scanners are available for under $400. When the scanner is directly attached our BubbleScan OMR software can directly interface with it using the TWAIN protocol.
Another, equally effective method is to utilize the scanning capabilities of a departmental copier or MFP (multi-function printer). Here, the scanner sends the TIF images to a networked folder that is monitored by our BubbleScan OMR software. As soon as our software detects a new image in the network folder, we process the image and add the data to the scoring spreadsheet.
Make sure to install the drivers and software that come with your scanner. BubbleScan OMR software interacts with that software, it does not replace it.
