Score Sheets
We create custom score and answer sheets for your event. Each score sheet contains a Data Matrix barcode to uniquely identify the form (type) to the Scoring Spreadsheet.
Score sheets also contain a unqiue particpant/competitor/team ID (we like to generically call it "Entry #") which can be a bubble-in section or a 2D barcode. A bubble-in section reduces the preparation overhead. You just print many copies of the same form per event and the judges bubble-in the entry #. The drawback is that sometimes judges bubble in the wrong number or bubble-in the number wrong. That then adds more work to the scanning (and review) process.
The alternative is to pre-print each score sheet with the entry # in form of a Data Matrix barcode - along with any other human readable information such as the competitor's name, their school or chapter, class, .... We currently utilize a 3rd party software called BarTender from Seagull Scientific (http://www.seagullscientific.com) to generate the unique barcodes and competitor information.
Part of our service is that we assist in the setup of the entire solution. We walk you through every step of the process and are just a phone call (and an online screen share) away in case you require us during the event.
Below are samples of forms we created for FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) in Arizona. FBLA (AZ) bubbles in the entry #.
TIP: When printing score sheets, make sure to print at 100% of the original size. This ensures correct processing by the BubbleScan OMR software later.
Depending on your version of Adobe Reader, the setting is called 'Page Scaling: None' or 'Actual Size'.
